On Saturday at Gulfstream Park, the featured race is the $200,000 Inside Information Stakes. Restricted to fillies and mares, the Grade 2 will be run at seven furlongs on the main track and has drawn a field of ten.
Stonetastic has been tabbed as the heavy favorite at odds of 8-5 on the morning line for trainer Kelly Breen. A five-year-old daughter of Mizzen Mast, she has been on the board in eleven of her fifteen starts and is a five-time winner. She is stepping back up to graded stakes competition and was last seen winning the Miami Shore Handicap in her first start of the year. She has had a bullet workout since that race and will have regular rider Paco Lopez in the irons from post position eight.
Second choice at morning line odds of 4-1 is Bar of Gold for trainer John Kimmel. A four-year-old daughter of Medaglia d’Oro, she has won three of her eight starts and will be trying to earn her first black type victory. She is returning off of a five-month layoff and was last seen finishing second in the Raven Run Stakes (G2) in October at Keeneland. Jose Lezcano will be aboard and they will break from post position six.
Also in the field at morning line odds of 20-1 is longshot Tiger Ride for trainer Graham Motion. A four-year-old daughter of Candy Ride (ARG), she is a homebred for Dixiana Farms and has won five of her nine starts. She has been on the shelf since winning the Valley View Stakes (G3) in the fall and has been training steadily for her return. Luis Saez will be aboard and they will break from post position four.
